The music instructor creates live performance and exercise senerios in advanced studies. Students receive hands-on experience in real time performance senerios to test and sharpen skills and improvisation. The music instructor performs improvised music inspired by the themes and melodies of favorite songs in an act he likes to call “Hooked“. He use BOSS RC-300 Loop stations and an Alesis SR-16 drum machine create a full sound, as if students were practicing with a full band. For the loopers out there, the master loop station is set with “Single Trail On” with loops on replace. This allows the guitarists to preprogram sections of songs while providing the option to alter the parts on the fly. The slave looper is set with “Single Tail Off” and loops on “Replace”. This allows the musicians to add adjustable layers to the master loopers part. You can hear the guitar teacher adding layers and altering the rhythm sections to develop jams beyond the initial sections. This provides Hooked with the agility to slowly peice together improvised arrangements live, during a performance. The Alesis Drum machine can also switch up style and feel of beats. Breathing new life into the jams when things get a bit still.
