Though a composition major in college, the instructor has gained experience teaching since 2008. Primarily studying Classical and jazz in the academic world, the guitar teacher has a deep-rooted love and experience of playing various styles and genres. As a musician the music teacher has composed, performed, and taught music in styles that include rock, alternative, folk, bluegrass, jam-band, improvisation and more.

The guitar teacher has studied rock, classical, and jazz in college. He was recommended to Depaul University’s School of Music by Mark Maxwell and has been studying for 30 years. Some of his major influences include Frank Zappa, Phish, Pat Matheny, Led Zeppelin, Slash, Andre Segovia, Fernando sore, and more.
